As you know, Mayor Phillips and the Council Majority are proposing that the Township takeover the MUA. This will not reduce taxes, it will not reduce your water bill. What it will do is deprive you of the competent, reliable service that you have come to expect from the Old Bridge MUA.
By signing the online petition below, you are stating that you do not want the Township of Old Bridge to absorb the Old Bridge MUA. Further, by signing this petition, you are requesting that the municipal town council adopt a plan that makes them accountable for their mismanagement of the town's ratables.
Although the petition is an effective way of letting our elected officials understand the community's feelings toward this type of takeover, your presence at the Town Council meetings is critical. The Town Council cannot legally consider petitions or letters in its deliberations, but can only rely on the statements of those present at the meetings. So please make every effort to make your voice heard by attending the meetings, if at all possible. |
